As kids in the 1980s, Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), Will Cooper (Kevin James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad), and Eddie “The Fire Blaster” Plant (Peter Dinklage) saved the world thousands of times – at 25 cents a game in the video arcades. Now, they’re going to have to do it for real. In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens discover video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth, using the video games as the models for their assaults – and now U.S. President Cooper must call on his old-school arcade friends to save the world from being destroyed by PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede, and Space Invaders. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.

Pixels is an exciting action packed movie, featuring lots of our favourite old school video game characters, we’re really looking forward to watching it on Blu-Ray this weekend!

  1. Saw it and loved it. It’s exactly my era so I could really relate to the early arcades and the music. My 12 year old even has a new favourite song from watching this, and was really impressed when I knew who it was.

  2. I’ve not seen it yet but I love Adam Sandler and have all his other movies on DVD. Not everyone’s cup of tea but I love that type of humour so can’t wait to see what he does with the ‘gaming’ genre.

  10. Its a great movie i watched it with my 4 young children who laughed along with it. Im a huge Sandler fan i know his movies get panned but sometimes a movie is meant to be funny and stupid and not all oscar worthy. Also being a retro gaming fan the references were great to spot. Worth watching if you have not seen.
