Marley Spoon is a recipe subscription box that we’ve tried out before, and found really convenient. Recently, they have added a brand new family plan option which makes it even easier to use their service to feed your whole family. The plan is specifically created for British families offering fast, easy and healthy recipes, delivered with the exact ingredients needed to cook them at home.
I love the convenience of having everything you need within the box, along with the recipe to follow. You can choose which recipes you would like and we tried cheesy veggie enchiladas with cucumber salad, and a creamy fish pasta dish.
You just select the meals that you want, and wait for the box to be delivered ready for you to cook the meal for your family. I like that it offers convenience, but is still a healthy option with plenty of fresh vegetables and other fresh ingredients included in the recipes. When you have a busy day, it’s often easier to turn to the quick and less healthy options like take aways so these boxes offer a great middle ground with convenience and healthy fresh food. Of course, you still need to allow time to cook the meal but all the time and energy of planning and buying what you need has been done for you and cutting out that step can be really helpful.
Above is the cheesy veggie enchilada meal from the family plan box that we chose. This was my favourite meal from the box, it has plenty of flavour and taste. The portions in the family box are pretty generous and easily fed our family of 2 adults and 3 young children.
Below is the pasta dish that we tried too, and also liked. The options for the meals are all family friendly foods, that should be a hit with all ages – nothing overly spicy for the young children for example, but still they are not bland or boring, and allow you to introduce your family to new recipes and foods.
