Christmas Star Sandwich Ingredients:

White Bread

Primula Cheese of choice

Chives – finely chopped

Red Chillies – finely chopped

Cucumber, cut into ribbons

Method: How to Make Star Sandwiches for Christmas Lunches or Christmas Parties

For each sandwich lightly toast two slices of bread.

Spread Primula cheese on one slice and sprinkle with finely chopped chives or chillies.

Cut a large star out of the second piece of toast and then cut a small star out of the centre.

Place this prepared star on top of the first slice of prepared toast and recut with the large star cutter to make a star sandwich.

The method for the cucumber sandwich is exactly the same except:

Spread one slice of toast with Primula cheese of choice and overlap with cucumber ribbons.

Proceed as above to cut out the star sandwich.

Have fun making up lots more colourful toppings for your Christmas star sandwiches too!

You can adapt this star sandwich design with all kinds of sandwich fillings according to what your kids prefer.

Red and green works really great with the Christmas theme so you could try using green or red bell peppers.

You could also use avocado, or tomatoes

Or for a sweet sandwich, try red jam – or even Nutella or chocolate spread which is my kids favourite.
