There are so many creative pumpkin ideas around if you’re looking to go beyond the traditional Jack O Lantern. I love this super cute Cookie Monster pumpkin idea that I came across on Instagram, made by the  students at Starwood Montessori School, who kindly let me share it with you.

Cookie Monster Pumpkin carving idea for Halloween

At Starwood Montessori School, all of their classes have been decorating pumpkins this week for Halloween and as you can see this one was made by a P4 class.

This clever pumpkin idea would be perfect for Halloween parties, doubling up as a decorated pumpkin, and as a fun way to serve cookies on your party table.

To make the Cookie Monster pumpkin, you’ll need to paint the entire pumpkin blue, then carve out a large mouth to place the cookies. Use small white balls to make the eyes, and paint on black pupils looking in different directions.

Doesn’t it look great? We’ll have to give this idea a try too – my boys love the look of it!
