Drumond Park Barbecue Party Review and Giveaway

Barbecue Party is another fun new game from Drumond Park. It’s rules are simple, but it captured my boys’ interest straight away and they have enjoyed playing this often over the summer. While offering lots of fun and giggles, it also incorporates fine motor practise and helps the children’s dexterity, which is a great bonus.

Barbecue Party involves using the tweezers to put food items on the grill, or take them off the grill, depending on which card you pick. The aim to collect 3 food items from the grill, along with their matching cards, in order to be the winner. But while you’re loading on your food, you have to watch out because the grill can pop up leaving the food flying into the air so that you can’t take it.

My boys love the fun look of all the food items and the grill, and how much personality each one has. They also enjoy the anticipation of waiting for the grill to pop up.

Barbecue Party is recommended for age 4+ and I would say that is about right for being able to use the tweezers well enough to play, and to follow all the rules well. R turned 4 this summer and had been enjoying the game since before his birthday, and my eldest who is 7 still enjoys this game too so it’s a good one for all of the family to play together.

  1. I really like the look of this game. It is bold and colourful and would certainly hold my sons attention. I would love to play this outside while hubby cooks a real bbq 🙂 x
