Where to get the best value school uniform

With the new school year approaching, you might be already starting to think about getting the back to school supplies ready in advance. We’ll have three in school this year, with our youngest starting reception and our eldest going up to Junior school with a whole new list of uniform requirements!

The cost of all those uniforms and school supplies can really add up, so I was really impressed by the low prices and good value that Aldi offers with their uniform.

We went along to take part in a special video filming where the kids had the chance to put the uniform to the test. I have to say it stood up to the testing very well, and I couldn’t believe the low prices when I first heard them: £1.50 is cheaper than I have seen school trousers anywhere else, and they have a teflon finish! So it’s not a case of being cheap with a cheap quality, they are actually better than other supermarket school trousers we have bought at more than double the price.

Sweaters at £1.25 each is also very impressive, and they are all nice and soft and feel comfortable for the children.

You can even get School Shoes in the Aldi special buy school uniform, they are only £6.99 a pair for either boys or girls, and are scuff resistant.

If you have an Aldi’s in your area, it would definitely be worth popping by to pick up some of these ready for the new school term. When you have a full set of uniform to buy, the savings on each item will really add up and if you have multiple kids in school then that’s even more the case!
