Now that Summer is on it’s way, everyone is enjoying getting out in the garden and I’ve been thinking about making Fairy Gardens with the kids. I love the look of these small fairy lands outside in the garden, what a great way to inspire the imagination and kindle a love of gardening in kids! It’s on our to-do list to have a try with this ourselves, but meanwhile I have been checking out lots of ideas for inspiration.
With wild outdoor fairy gardens, to indoor options, a sensory fairy garden and a couple that can be made from kits, and even a dinosaur version you’re sure to find something that your kids would love.
This Fairy Garden Table from Inner Child Fun is a great way to keep your fairy garden nicely contained, and at a good height making it easily accessible for play.
This beautiful fairy garden features a fairy door and is totally kid designed. See more on My Small Potatoes
This cool fairy garden features a cave. See more of this garden on Happiness is Home Made

If you don’t have a garden, that doesn’t have to stop you! This terrarium fairy garden is a great alternative that you can make and keep indoors. See more on Two-daloo, there are two different versions on their site – the winter gnome version that you see here, plus a blue fairy one.
This is another great fairy garden made indoors from a fairy garden kit. See more here on ET Speaks from home, or buy this kit on Amazon.
Don’t even have soil? That does not have to stop you either. I love this sensory fairy garden made using coloured rice. See more on You Clever Monkey
If your kids are not totally sold on the whole “fairy” thing then don’t worry – switch things up and make a dinosaur garden! Raar! See more on Fun at Home with Kids

I’ve put together some ideas of the little details we could add to our fairy garden. Sticks, stones, and natural elements make the perfect starting point but some of these little features could be fun too!

We made our fairy garden a few years ago and Megan adds to it every year. I love watching her weed it and plant new seeds, it also gives her somewhere to put her stone, shell and bark collection. She’s even collected moss and grown that in it! http://www.charliemoos.co.uk/blog/read_78963/our-fairy-garden.html
It looks fab! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Wow these are gorgeous. We just made our own little wildlife garden and this has just given me loads of ideas to make it a little bit more enchanting!
