We’re always excited by new Disney movie releases and Big Hero 6 is no exception. We have been looking forward to seeing this movie, and it was fun for the kids to get familiar with the characters a little by putting together their new Disney Big Hero 6 puzzle from Ravensburger before we go to watch the preview screening tomorrow.

Big Hero 6 features the characters Hiro, Baymax, Fred, Go go Tomago, Honey Lemon & Wasabi who can all be seen in this puzzle.

Big Hero 6 100 piece puzzleBig Hero 6 Synopsis from IMDB:

From Walt Disney Animation Studios, the team behind “Frozen” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” comes “Big Hero 6,” an action-packed comedy-adventure about the special bond that develops between Baymax, a plus-sized inflatable robot, and prodigy Hiro Hamada. When a devastating event befalls the city of San Fransokyo and catapults Hiro into the midst of danger, he turns to Baymax and his close friends adrenaline junkie Go Go Tomago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. Determined to uncover the mystery, Hiro transforms his friends into a band of high-tech heroes called “Big Hero 6.”

I’m sure the boys will enjoy the movie, since the look of the characters definitely appealed to them from the puzzle. They enjoyed spotting the robot Baymax, and the other characters looking like heros.

We always find Ravensburger puzzles to be great quality, with durable pieces that last well and are easy to put together and this new puzzle matched up to our expectations from this brand.

This puzzle has 100 pieces and is recommended for age 6+. This seems just right to me as Z (6) and T (5) both enjoyed working on this puzzle, but it would have been much too challenging for R (3) so we did it during his nap time.

Z particularly enjoyed matching up the pieces of writing and we felt that this puzzle lends itself much more to the traditional “start with the edges” approach whereas a lot of the smaller character puzzles work well with starting with the faces, which is a typically younger way to approach puzzles.

Once complete, the puzzle measures 49 x 36 cm.

This Big Hero 6 puzzle is available to buy from Amazon and I would recommend it for other children of a similar age.

You can see the Big Hero 6 trailer here and it is out in UK cinemas 30th January
