The HEXBUG Aquabot 2.0 Shark Tank playset is different to other Hexbug toys that we have played with. It’s crossed with Aquabot and the play takes place in the water.

The HEXBUG Aquabot 2.0 Shark Tank playset includes:

  • Shark tank
  • Moveable shark
  • 1 Angelfish with batteries includes
  • 3 pieces of scenery for inside the shark tank

Hexbug Aquabot Shark Tank Playset

The set is very easy to assemble, all you do is push the shark into a hole in the side of the tank and you’re ready to play.

The Aquabot is a robotic fish. If you’re not familiar with these already, they automatically start to swim when placed into water. The colour you get may vary. Ours is blue as you can see and each fish has a light within it.

IMG_2457To preserve the battery, these fish will slow down and stop moving after 5 minutes and you can tap the side of the tank to wake it back up again.

We have a few of these robotic fish and the children always love to play with them. Sometimes we’ve incorporated them into sensory play with water, but this shark was a great addition to this new tank and definitely kept the kids attention very well.

playing with hexbug aquabot aquarium shark tank playsetTo catch the fish, the children use the shark themselves and move it around the tank. It can dive downwards into the water, and open it’s mouth for the fish to be caught inside the sharks mouth which they all found exciting. It can be played with together, or by one child at a time.

IMG_2482This toy adds lots of fun to water play and appealed to all three of my boys aged 3, 5 and 6.

IMG_2484The HEXBUG Aquabot 2.0 Shark Tank  is available from Amazon (affiliate)and other shops, with an RRP of £29.99. You could then add more fish to your collection over time if you wanted to, although only one is needed to play.
