I’m not normally someone to get excited about cleaning products, but we have been trying out the Dyson DC59 Animal Cordless Vacuum and I have to say, we’ve been really impressed with it. This is a really efficient and very sleek vacuum cleaner that’s flexible to deal with different cleaning jobs around the house and car.
This is an upright vacuum which as you can see is very thin and lightweight. It is cordless which makes it really quick and convenient to use and it’s light weight makes it easy to grab and bring up and down stairs much more easily than our old vacuum cleaner.
It also converts into a smaller hand held vacuum cleaner, so it feels like 2 products in 1.
As is standard with Dyson machines this is a bagless vacuum, it pulls the dirt straight into it’s drum and then you can empty it straight out. The new feature with this Dyson vacuum is the Dyson digital motor V6, which spins up to 110,000 times a minute – 3 times faster than conventional motors. This 350W motor has a higher wattage than its predecessor and contributes to the machine’s ability to produce powerful suction. DC59 is the most powerful cordless vacuum. We definitely noticed that it is more powerful than our other vacuum cleaner, and picks up dirt and dust much more efficiently.
There is a brush within the vacuum head so that it does not only suck up dust from the top layer of your carpet or rug, but brushes down to bring up any dust within the carpet so that it can be removed, which gives a more efficient and thorough result.
When converted into the smaller hand held vacuum, we’ve found this so handy for hoovering the car. With 3 young boys in the back seat it can get messy there and using this Dyson DC59 Animal it quickly makes it as good as new which saves us getting a full interior clean at the car wash.
Even as a full vacuum, the small thin size of the machine means that it can very easily fit under small spaces to clean under furniture and cleans very well into corners too.
My other half was also very impressed with this new vacuum, even so much that he actually wanted to do the vacuuming so that he could use it! I also have a cleaner who comes around most weeks to do some extra cleaning at home, and she was very impressed by this vacuum cleaner too.
It is definitely a much more powerful vacuum, and it looks great too with a very modern feel, and does not take up too much space. You can use this for around 20 minutes continuous use, and then keep it on the charger between uses so that it’s always ready.
