LolliBop Festival 2014

We were invited to LolliBop this year by Thomas & Friends who were making an appearance at the festival for the first time. We’ve been going to LolliBop since it first started in 2010 and this year was our favourite so far. The kids loved it and it made a great family day out. We were really impressed with the new Hatfield House venue, it worked brilliantly there with lots of space so it never felt too over crowded.

Here are some photos from our day at LolliBop 2014

This was one of the favourite areas since the younger boys are completely crazy about Thomas! It was definitely a welcome addition to LolliBop and I hope they will be back next year.

Mr Z and Mr T were also really impressed with the Skylanders area. They were very happy to get the chance to try out the new Skylanders Trap Team game and will be looking forward to it’s release.

I felt like LolliBop has regained the charm it had in it’s earlier years, and the boys dad who had been not as keen to go was even won over by it too and really enjoyed the day.

There were sandcastle making competitions:

There was so much to do that we were spoilt for choice and so we didn’t see all of the great acts that were on the main stage, but if some of the come back next year hopefully we can fit some more in!

Another one of our favourite activities was the Bear Grylls area with an obstacle course and balancing rope. All three boys had a go on this and really enjoyed it.

Did you go to LolliBop this year? What did you think? Let me know in the comments

  1. You sound like hardened Lollibop visitors and it sounds like this was the best year yet. I have loved reading all the posts from the festival and can’t help but think how big it must be as everyone seems to write about a different activity on offer there. Thank you for sharing your visit on Country Kids.

  2. Looks like you had a fab time too, we too had a very enjoyable day tbh, it was our first ever lollibop event and it was awesome we loved every minute of it. There was so much to see and do, my wife and eldest even participated in Sam and Marks last show of the day which was well cool #countrykids
