Over the summer we’ve explored lots of the beautiful beaches of the UK. I love the sea, it’s so calming and relaxing. Now that Autumn is starting to draw in, I’m starting to daydream and plan about holidays further afield. We’ve not taken the children outside the UK yet but that will be changing as we have holidays booked for France and Spain later this year.
The kids are excited to visit new countries, and now that they are getting older it’s much easier to travel with all of them. I may look at some more package holidays as a really easy option to book hassle free family travel. I do get overwhelmed with so much choice, so a package seems like a good solution for me.
Here are 3 beautiful beach destinations I would love to visit with my family.
Beaches on the Red Sea in Egypt
There is of course Sharm El Sheikh, one of the most popular and well known beach resorts on the red sea. If you want a more low key beach experience there is also Taba and Marsa Alam nearby. Egypt is the last place my other half and I visited before having kids, while I was expecting Mr Z. It would be great to visit again with all the kids in tow.
Beaches of Tunisia
We’ve never visited Tunisia (yet!) but it would be a great choice for us with a mixture of beautiful beaches, history and culture. There are many Unesco stamped sites and a beautiful coastline at Port el Kantaoui. We love to visit Muslim countries, to see old mosques and all the different Muslim cultures we have around the world. It would be great to introduce the kids to some of this as well as relaxing at the beach.
Beaches on the Mediterranean sea in Turkey
Turkey is another country which has been on our “must visit” list for a long time. We are considering it as an option for when we go away for our 10th anniversary this year, but it would also be great to visit with the whole family. I have lots of friends and family who’ve visited Turkey and highly recommended it as a family friendly destination where they felt so welcome, with lots of beautiful sights to see. Side is one of the beautiful seaside resorts that we would consider, about an hour from Antalya.

It’s a bit of a long haul flight but we love the beach at Clearwater, Florida. Lovely white sand and on the west coast of Florida, on the gulf, so you get lovely sunsets.

I just couldn’t pass up this post! Our family loves the beach and is looking forward to our upcoming trip to the beaches of Florida. Okaloosa Island and Navarre Beach are some of our favorites. White sand and beautiful clear water. Not too many crowds – very peaceful.
