The Sun are currently running a promotion where you can get bargain tickets for lots of super days out at Merlin attractions, including Thorpe Park, by signing up to Sun+ online. The first month is only £1 and the offer enables you to get tickets worth nearly £100 for under a tenner so is well worth having a look at! Find out all about it here on the Sun’s Superdays site.

I have £250 to give away to celebrate this offer, courtesy of the Sun so make sure you read down to the bottom of the post to enter!

To help celebrate the Sun’s Superdays offer, I had the chance to take Mr Z to Thorpe Park and try it out for ourselves. This year there is a newly launched Angry Birds Land within Thorpe Park which is great for children around Mr Z’s age (6 years old). He loves playing this type of game so he found Angry Bird Land such a cool place and had a lot of fun!

Angry Birds Land at Thorpe ParkThis was Mr Z’s first visit to Thorpe Park, and I had not been in about 8 years, well before he was born! Thorpe Park is aimed a little older than some of the other Merlin attractions, although they do have some rides suitable for smaller children and they also have a family beach area. There was plenty for Mr Z to do and we were easily able to check where the family friendly rides were in the park. He enjoyed looking at the thrilling and scary rides too, like Swarm and Stealth, although I don’t think he would have dared to ride them yet even if he was tall enough!

It was the first 4D experience for both me and Mr Z and we really enjoyed it. It’s an action packed show and effects are great! If you happen to visit on a rainy day, as we did, then this is a perfect place to shelter for a bit while being entertained! It’s definitely worth making time to see this show during your visit.

If you have older children then Thorpe Park is a great place for all of the thrilling rides. My husband has been with our teenage nephews recently and they all had a great time.

To help promote this great Sun Super Days offer, The Sun have a fun social campaign at the moment which I’m sure most of us can relate to, all about the ‘hilariously awful’ things we have done to our kids.

My #sunfession is that I have tried girls clothes on to my kids as babies just to see how cute they would look! Sorry boys!!

I actually have a Thorpe Park related #sunfession too, although this was something I did not to the kids but to their dad. The last time we went to Thorpe Park together, before having the kids, was when Stealth was quite new in the park and he persuaded me to brave it and go on the ride together. We went and bought the fast pass ticket for the ride and both sat down ready to go, but just as the ride was about to start I chickened out and jumped off, leaving him to ride with some random lady who was quickly seated next to him to take my place! When I mention Thorpe Park he never lets me forget that I abandoned him that day! What can I say.. I am a bit of a wuss, I just couldn’t go through with it. I’m more comfy on the tea cups with the kids 🙂

To support the #Sunfession campaign, I also have £250 to give away to one lovely In The Playroom reader to spend at Thorpe Park. All you need to do is log in to Twitter or Instagram account and retell a hilarious awful thing you have done to your kids.  Don’t forget to include #Sunfession AND #InThePlayroom. Hit tweet or post, and then visit the Sun site to see your #Sunfession appear.

Log your entry in the Rafflecopter below so that a winner can be selected randomly to keep it fair.
