Earlier this month we had the pleasure of trying out an amazing beach themed cake from Cakes by Robin. I love cakes that are so beautifully decorated like this, it’s such a nice luxury. We were definitely not disappointed with our cake!
The cake came with a gorgeous seaside themed design, featuring a beach hut with “summer retreat” wording, and lots of little details like shells, sand castle and bucket, a rubber ring and a nautical rope tied around the edges.
The details were so intricate and lovely. The sand castle really has a sandy look and feel around the area (although of course it’s not real sand!) Mr Z was so amazed by how it all looked. He couldn’t stop looking at the cake!
The theme we received for our cake was a surprise but I really love it. It’s just perfect for summer and would be ideal for a summer beach party. It is so cute! We enjoyed the cake during iftar and sent some over to our relatives too.
The inside of the cake was chocolate fudge and really delicious. I am quite picky with cakes, as sometimes I find them overrated (I’m not a fan of ones with a lot of cream) but this cake really was super in both looks and taste, so I was very impressed. The chocolatey flavour was a hit with all the family, children and adults alike. There are many other fillings available too including red velvet, lemon drizzle and toffee and walnut which all sound amazing!
Cakes By Robin offer a bespoke service and can make a cake to your ideas and specifications, or you can just let them know the theme and they will design something to fit perfectly.
Cakes By Robin is a London based business and delivers all around London, or may be able to deliver further afield for an extra charge. Our cake arrived promptly at the time I had been given and the delivery service all went very smoothly. If you are in South London, you can pop by their cake parlour in Southfields to collect your cake.
We really enjoyed our beautiful cake from Cakes by Robin and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the London area who want to make an occasion extra special. We will be keeping them in mind for any future occasions, and hope to get the chance to try some of the other products in future.
