Serenata Hampers Review & Giveaway

Serenata Hampers offer a range of hampers and gifts, from chocolate hampers to new baby hampers, flowers and lots more too!

I’ve recently been sent a lovely traditional sweetshop gift to try out and have been very happy with it and I’m pleased to offer one In The Playroom reader the chance to win a £35 voucher so that you can try one of their products out for yourself!

The traditional sweet shop is a set with 12 mini jars of sweets. The presentation of this set is what makes it stand out for me, it’s packaged up as though it is a shop window display and the sweets look so pretty and colourful displayed like this in their jars.

Traditional sweet shop sweets from Serenata Hampers - These would be so cute for a party!

The sweets included are: American hard gums, dew drops, cherry cola bottles x2, strawberry bonbons x2, fizzy cola bottles, humbugs, mini jelly babies, fruit pastilles, dolly mixture and jelly spogs.

I’m not sure whether this varies from set to set but this was the contents in my box. This comes up to a weight of 800g of sweets. The sweets do contain beef gelatine so if you are a strict vegetarian or vegan do be aware of this.

The packaging looks great to present as a gift

I also think that these sweets could work well for a party, if you set up a little sweet shop corner that could be something really cute.

The containers are made of plastic, not glass, but they look appealing and I will be saving mine to re-use them probably for some kind of sweet shop themed kids activity or to store the kids craft supplies like glitter and sequins as they are too cute to throw away!

The price for this set is £34.99, and you then have the option to add more extras like a balloon, a box of chocolates or a teddy for an additional price. Compared to the usual cost of sweets its not cheap, but you have to take into account the presentation which makes it much more suitable for a gift – and of course this is a lot more convenient than buying your own mini jars and filling them. I know if I received this as a gift I would be very happy with it. Especially after Easter as we still have so much chocolate left over in the house, sweets make a nice change! It’s more unique than just giving chocolate I think.

Do check out the Serenata Hampers website and see what you fancy. There are some lovely children’s hampers with a teddy or a rag doll which caught my eye, as well as the more traditional hampers.

  2. The Sweet Dreams Hamper as it has their Salted Toffee Truffles in – which are, in my opinion, the tastiest chocolates in the universe.

  3. I would get either the ‘Best of British Cheddar’ or the ‘Cheese and Olives’. Probably the former.

  6. There are a lot of options I would be very happy with and also some great gifts. I think a treat for me would be the cheese slate & Ale, it has made me think about going and making some cheese and crackers right now 😉
