You may remember we recently reviewed the Powersound FX Turtles figure and Ninja combat gear, since being introduced to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles through those toys, the boys have been really enjoying these new characters. They were really happy to get a couple of new figures to come and join their Raphael – One of the new battleshell turtles and a baddy, Snakeweed.
We were sent the Battleshell Donatello figure and a baddie figure : Snakeweed. The Battleshell figure is a 4.5 inch scale turtle and he comes complete with his signature weapon and then secondary weapons stored inside his shell. The boys were able to easily remove these and place them into Donatello’s hand.
The figure is really easily manoeuvrable and they enjoyed putting him into different fighting poses, especially with a baddy to play with too!
Hiiiii…..ya! Mr T put his battleshell turtle Donatello into this pose then asked me to take a picture! 🙂
With a few different turtles figures, including baddies, it’s great for the boys to play together to develop some role play skills. They loved making battles and getting the turtles to defeat Snakeweed. They found Snakeweed really funny as he comes with a scared looking expression on his face.
I did feel the quality of the figures is better for the turtles themselves than for Snakeweed, as some bits had to be assembled with him after removing from the packet. He did add another element to their play though so I think it’s definitely worth having some baddies in your collection!
The turtles toys are being played with by all of the boys, and are perfect for Mr Z (5) and Mr T (4). They find the Turtles characters really cool and love to open up the shell to find the weapons. There are some small parts, as some of the weapons inside Donatello’s shell are quite small so do be aware of that with younger siblings.
The Battleshell turtles and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Baddies figures are £9.99 each and are available from Argos and other stores.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles airs every Saturday at 9.30am on Nicktoons.

My older Brother and I had teenage mutant ninja turtles growing up and I’m glad the franchise is still going – I can’t wait for Little Man to have turtles of his own too! x
My 2 little boys would love these, and I totally agree about needing some bad guys!
These look so much fun, I love the snake weed chap, a great baddie!
We’ve had these and have been really enjoying them. I love the expression on your Snakeweed figure.
I remember turtles from when I was a kid – always need a baddie! Thanks for the post!
