winter craftsMr T recently came home with a bag of all his winter crafts and christmas work that he has done at nursery. I haven’t done these particular crafts with him so can not share the methods but here are all his finished pieces of work. He has made some lovely things so it will be nice to look back on, and may give a few ideas if anyone is looking for some examples of winter craft ideas.

winter crafts star

Decorated 3d Star. I’m actually not too sure what this has been made out of. Any ideas?!

winter crafts christmas gift

Decorated Christmas present.

These are all made by Mr T aged just turned 4 years. He would have had some help from his teachers, but Mr T loves to do crafts and when he wants to he will really concentrate and enjoys sticking lots of bits down. I’m always proud to see the creations he brings home and see what he has been up to.

  1. James bought his home today. Some of them go into a scrapbook, but you can’t keep everything so I photograph them. That way I done feel so bad when they eventually get binned.

  2. My children brought all of theirs home BEFORE CHristmas – we had the house decorated with them!
The foamy star is a sort of rubbery shape that I think you buy plain white and then the children decorate – we’ve had a couple of moons and stars in the past – toddlers always chew them because they’re so tactile!!! 😀

  4. Ah, they are fab! Christmas is definitely my favourite time for the crafts they bring home, & I always love opening our decorations box & finding the ones from previous years.

  5. They are so beautiful and will be lovely to treasure and bring out each year when you decorate the house for Christmas. My top tip is to write the date or at least the year on the crafts so you can remember when they were made 🙂

  6. These are all so wonderful! Elle used to do a lot at nursery but i was a bit disapointed with the things she bought home from school this year. It seems they don’t do as much crafting as they would have done at nursery x

  7. I love all the Christmas craft items the kids bring home from school. Ella made a lovely salt dough tree angel this year and to raise money for the school they got you to buy them at the school fair rather than just sending them home. Ella loved handing over the 20p to her teacher for her decoration!

  8. I love this post because my own children have made Christmas decorations like this and they look lovely hanging on the tree or the mantle and are special keepsakes to bring out every year.

  9. Great ideas – I’m ashamed to say we didn’t make any decorations last year at home – I’ll try being more prepared this year. I think I need to lose the ‘don’t think about Xmas until l December’ attitude!

  10. Wow! I can hardly believe these were made by a four year old. Looks more like early elementary to me. I think the star ornament looks particularly special. How fun!
