Mr T (4) and Mr R (2) were so happy to get the chance to review the Thomas and Friends Amazing ABC book from Egmont. They are massive Thomas fans, and get really excited by anything featuring their favourite little blue train!
When the Amazing ABC book arrived, I was really impressed with it too. It’s a large book with so many interactive features on each page – flaps to lift, doors to open, leavers to pull to move Thomas up and down, mirrors, and more. It definitely grabbed the boys attention and it keeps them entertained for quite a while. Mr R at 2 years has really got into books over the past year and he will sit for ages exploring all the pages and showing me what he can see. This book is his ideal book really – it has Thomas, it has a phone it which you can lift up and talk into, it has so many bits to investigate. What more could he ask for?
All the pages feature pictures which are nice and bright, and include many of the different engines not just the few common ones. If your child is a fan of some of the other engines and characters like Victor, Spencer, Kevin, Owen – then they will be in luck as they can all be found in here.
I am working on the alphabet with both Mr T and Mr R at the moment, and as they are both at the same stage of starting to recognise some letters then this book is perfect for them (Mr T has Autism and global development delay is why they are at the same stage but different ages). For both of them, having something with Thomas really motivates them to pay attention and learn more.
This really is a lovely book, and would make any young Thomas fan very happy. I would definitely recommend it and can see it getting hours and hours more us in our house.

Kian was my Thomas fan but he is 13 now – he did secretly enjoy Thomasland when we went though lol! Looks like a lovely colourful book!
My children have always been huge Thomas fans – as have I!
What a lovely book, love all the different things to do in it.
Oh it looks great – we are BIG fans of Thomas in this house. We had Thomas and The Breakdown Train delivered today. £37 off from Argos at the moment (web exclusive though). Took a while to set it up late afternoon but Aaron’s hooked now. His 1st proper Hornby remote control track 🙂 xx
That looks great. Ethan used to love Thomas and had a book very similar to this which he loved.
This looks great fun and educational too, my little one would love this

Seems a great book, educational and interactive. We have Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends fan in the family too. So might just check the bookshops next time I’m in town.
