Junior Scholars Blogger Event

juniorlogoEarlier in the month, we went along to Junior Scholars shop in Watford for their first ever Blogger event. It was great to meet the faces behind the company as I have been following them on Twitter for a while now. (@juniorscholars and @jscholarsSocial if you want to follow!)

Junior Scholars are online retailers of a massive range of educational toys and games, and they also have a shop in Watford. Luckily for me, we are quite local so I will definitely go back to the shop in future. It was way bigger than I expected, and really impressive. It is in the building of an old bank, and is full of loads and loads of toys and games on the ground floor then down in the vault they have a recording studio (the sound cube) which can be hired out for parties – very cool!

If you’re not near to Watford no need to worry as you can order all the toys and games online.

The Junior Scholars event was a great chance to meet some other local bloggers like Carolynne from Mummy Endeavours and Hannah from Caterpillar Tales as well as catching up with some familiar faces like Mary and her little monkey from Over 40 and a mum to one.

We also had a chance to play with and try out plenty of the products from the shop, which Mr Z and Mr T both really enjoyed

juniorscholar2As you can see above, Counting Caterpillars from Orchard Toys was a big hit with both of them. We couldn’t resist buying a couple of things from the shop after the event. Mr Z chose the Money Activity Book – he really really loves maths so he sees this more as fun than work! Mr T chose himself a jumbo magnifier which he has been really enjoying.

Also look out for a couple of reviews coming up very soon as Mr Z and Mr T had the chance to choose a toy each to take home and review.

Junior Scholars have made a short video of the event, so have a look here and you may spot me and Mr Z and Mr T in there somewhere!
