This is a really simple Halloween spider picture idea which T made in nursery. He was very pleased with it so I thought I would share the idea.
The web effect has been made by threading wool through some small holes in the card. You could make this in all kinds of designs. The threading is great for developing fine motor skills.
The wool is tied at the back of the picture like this:
To complete the picture, he has added a painted spider, decorated with googly eyes and glitter. It gives a great 3d textured Halloween picture which is very effective
We will experiment with making some different shaped and patterned spider webs, and different styles of spider.
