728x90-lovexmas-banner-v3I recently heard of a new website Love Christmas which sells everything you need to get a good start on your Christmas preparations, from trees to decorations to toys and novelty items. For those who celebrate Christmas, there are less than 70 days left now so definitely not too early to start thinking about it!

Love Christmas also have some items which you could use all year round! I was given the chance to choose something to review so I chose the Light Brown Miniature Rocking Horse for the boys.

rockinghorseThis is currently available for £59.95 on Love Christmas site, with free P&P. It arrived really quickly and required only very minimal assembly (screwing on the rocking base and the handles) which I was able to do myself in about 15 minutes. The horse is a good size as it is able to take my 5 year old, but it is not massive to take up all the space in the room! It’s a nice progression from the smaller baby/toddler rocking animals you can get.

lovexmashorseThe horse has plenty of detail, and soft fur. There is a soft saddle for the child to sit in, and metal stirrups for the feet. The main difference between this horse and a standard rocking horse is that he takes 3x AA batteries enabling him to make lots of sounds (clip clop, neighh etc) and move his mouth and tail. My boys (age 2-5) all really enjoyed this and I feel it makes the horse more interactive for them. The horse encourages them to use their imagination as Mr Z has been wanting to feed it apples and milk as well as riding and rocking on the horse. They have also been pretending to race each other, with Mr T on our old smaller rocking reindeer and Mr Z riding his new rocking horse from Love Christmas.

playingwithhorseThere’s a variety of horses on Love Christmas, from the smaller toddler rocking animals, to a pink rocking horse, or if you fancy something smaller – traditional hobby horses. There are also some cute looking novelty dancing toys like reindeer and snowmen, as well as a wide selection of trees and decorations.

Love Christmas have kindly offered one of my readers the chance to win a £50 e-voucher to spend on their website, to help get your Christmas off to a good start!
