It’s my first time linking up to the Small Steps, Amazing Achievements Linky over at Ethan’s Escapades. I have been meaning to join in for a while but have not had the chance, but this week I am extra proud of my little Mr T so I knew I had to make the time to join in and share his achievement 😀

Here he is – taking part in the nursery end of year show last week! He was so good, and so cute. His first performance was a teddy bears picnic dance, you can see him with his little teddy ears, heart and face paint top left and bottom left! Then he has joined in with ring a roses, and was the bus driver for wheels on the bus – which he loved!

Taking part in a show like this is a big thing for any small child, especially for the first time but for a child with Autism even more so. I am so proud of him! He has had support from one of his key workers sitting behind him and helping him with some of the performance, so he has been able to sit and take part in the whole show – which was quite a long time for him to sit, as there were lots of songs from different groups of the children and even a small play. All of the children did really well!

Mr T has settled in so well to his nursery and I am so proud of the steps he has made. Most importantly, he is really happy to go and spend his time there!

Here he is with his first school picture, also such a proud moment for me

school photoAt the end of the school year, I can see all the effort which we have put in – the teachers, speech therapists, me, and the various other professionals he sees (can’t list everyone he sees a lot! :p ) – is all starting to pay off and he is doing really well. I am so glad he has a winter birthday so he has another whole year in his nursery before moving up to reception, which will give him a chance to develop his skills even more and I can not wait to see what achievements the next year will bring him!

Well done Mr T, my beautiful little teddy!! 😀

  1. What a fabulous post – it must have been great to Mr T in his nursery show. A great achievement, you must have been made up. I hope you didn’t cry, I’m sure I’m going to lose the plot when I see POD in something 🙂
